Syrin is a strong man hiding a soft underbelly. His tough, take-no-shit exterior doesn't belie the truly softhearted individual beneath, to the point that he keeps everyone at arms length out of fear.
Pretending to be what you're not will take a toll on you eventually. It stops being an act...the mask you wear to stay safe becomes a mandatory facade. He now struggles to be who he wants to be, grappling with the fear of being weak and of losing everything he's fought so hard to keep safe.
He's a strong individual with conflicting morals and a lot of guilt weighing on his shoulders. He's much kinder than he'd ever let on to those not in his inner circle; Only the few closest to him know who he is, how he really is, and he'd die to protect them.
