Merilee is a strong willed, mentally sound person with the kind of emotional fortitude men the world over would kill to have. She's tasked with dealing with one of the worst guys she's ever met (Earnest) and were it anyone else, they'd have punched him and left him for dead already.
Tired often, it's a miracle she can put up with what she does. Dealing with Earnest takes a special kind of indifference that she has managed to master.
