ASSIGNED AGENT:  Agent Calburn

NAME: Vampires (Homo nosferatu vampiris)

CREATURE TYPE/VARIANT: Humanoid Nonhuman

THREAT LEVEL: Variable (Safe to Moderate)

ENCOUNTER: (The page is neat and orderly, tucked properly away in its place. The handwriting is immaculate cursive. The page seems to be observational notes from an Agent in the field.)

June 16th, 1983: Observations of local Vampires has shown that their numbers are constantly at a downward trend. This has been true for generations. Some of the eldest survivors have recently been up in arms and angry; They claim Holwell isn't doing right by them, that they're being led to their deaths by the unfair rules put into place. It's hard to argue when reports keep coming in again and again that "hunters" have been active again.

I am finding it increasingly difficult to side with my peers on this issue. Lives are being lost, century-spanning lives, to a fate most of us can't comprehend. It would be unfair and by all accounts unjust to continue ignoring their outcry.

July 9th, 1983: The hunters are nothing if not efficient, I will give them that. Efforts to detain them have proved a failure, and I fear the locals have lost all faith in us. I can't disagree, we have failed them again and again. Perhaps it would be best to let them do as they must to keep on living, deaths or not. This is, of course, speculation.

DESCRIPTION:

Vampiric creatures vary in both height, weight, nationality, and purpose. No two are alike. Their powers are varied, but can be categorized into three main types: Shapeshifting, Telepathy, and Flight. It is unknown what gives vampires their power, but it is speculated that they could garner power from the moon as other shapeshifters do. (A note, hastily scrawled on a sticky note, reads at the bottom "No aversion to Sunlight!" The last bit is underlined.)
